JOIN US IN MEXICO
Many families in Sonoyta struggle to find work, or do not have the opportunity to work often, and therefore lack basic necessities. Nearby Puerto Peñasco (Rocky Point) offers some the opportunity to work in the tourist industry, but it is still a 45 minute drive, and many families do not have cars. The town is marked by the border with the United States. The summers and winters also bring extreme temperatures, as is common in the desert, and it is very difficult to grow anything in the soil, so life can be very difficult for the people of Sonoyta.
PROJECT
On our mission trips, we have helped renovate facilities with construction projects, cooked and served food to the church family, spent time playing with the kids and getting to know everyone in this welcoming community.
