LEE PREPARATORY ACADEMY
WHO WE ARE
Lee Preparatory Primary School is located in the village of Nyafumba, Tororo District, Uganda. Currently there are ten grades: Baby Class through P7, with a total of 309 students that attend the school. LPA is short for Lee Preparatory Academy.
OUR STORY
LPA was the dream of Terry and Sara Lee who visited this village in 2014 and were so moved by how many sick children they saw in the area. They felt called to partner with Hope 4 Kids International to Adopt a Village. LPA began with just a community center and medical clinic, and has now grown to include a full nursery and primary school. The Lees want the students of Nyafumba to have top quality facilities and access to excellent teachers. They believe by preparing and educating learners, the cycle of poverty can be broken by providing hope and skills to the students at LPA and teaching the students to Pay It Forward. LPA follows a classical Christian education curriculum in keeping with the culture of the village. LPA school is operated by H4KI Uganda whose priorities are academic excellence, health and well being of the learners and development of the whole self.
