Why YOUR HELP MATTERS
These children are the future of their communities, and by improving their living conditions, we are investing in their future. A comfortable, clean, and well-maintained environment is essential for their physical, emotional, and academic development. Your support can make a tangible difference in their lives.

OUR STORY
Over the course of 22 years, Head Matron Shirley has worked at multiple boarding cottages for the ELCRN Church and has chosen this profession out of her love and kindness towards children. When Shirley was only three months old, she was adopted by her aunt who modeled what it means to be a humble servant of the Lord. Shirely now carries her aunt’s same spirit of servitude with her in all that she does for the 73 children that currently stay with her in Okombahe.

MAKE A GIFT TOWARDS OKOMBAHE
YVONNE'S FARM & SOUP KITCHEN
In the village of Okombahe, our good friend Yvonne Nowases has been feeding her community since 2014. Food insecurity is one of the greatest challenges among those affected by the high unemployment rate in this area. To feed well over 100 children and adults on a daily basis, Yvonne works with her friends and family to collect donations to purchase food, and also raises crops on her farm that are used at her soup kitchen. It is unfortunate that Yvonne may will lose access to the church property on which her Soup Kitchen resides, once her husband retires as Pastor from their church. However, she has plans to build a modest facility on her own property in Okombahe to continue this important ministry.
Help Support Special Projects
We are often asked about “Special Projects” and “Urgent Needs” that lack funding. These projects are unique needs that make it possible to operate this school, and to care for the children and families in Okombahe, Namibia.
